How I’ll Serve Our Community
I’ll be honest, transparent, and accountable.
I know firsthand how difficult it can be for residents to get clear information about decisions affecting our community. I believe residents deserve to understand what their local government is doing with their tax dollars, why certain decisions are being made, and how those decisions affect our schools and kids. If elected, I’ll communicate openly, explain the reasoning behind important decisions, and make myself available to hear questions and concerns. Transparency shouldn’t be an afterthought; it should be the standard.
I’ll ask tough questions.
Good leadership starts with asking questions, challenging assumptions, and listening to perspectives beyond your own. As PTA President, I’ve worked closely with parents, teachers, and school administrators to understand what our schools need and help find solutions. And as a resident, I’ve shown up to Township Committee and other local meetings, raised concerns, and pushed for answers about decisions affecting our community. If elected, I’ll bring that same curiosity, persistence, and willingness to speak up to the School Board.
I’ll keep politics out of our schools.
I’m running to serve our kids, support our educators, and be a responsible steward of our district’s resources, not to advance a political agenda. We won’t always agree, and that’s okay. What I’ve learned through my professional and community work is that progress takes listening, asking hard questions, and working with people who see things differently. I’ll bring that same approach to the School Board, keeping the focus on our kids, their education, and the needs of our teachers and staff.
I’ll be responsible with our tax dollars.
I manage multimillion-dollar budgets in my professional life, evaluating proposals, negotiating contracts, and making sure resources are used effectively. I’ll bring that same financial discipline and attention to detail to the School Board by asking tough questions, weighing tradeoffs, and making sure our tax dollars are used responsibly.
I’ll advocate for our kids.
My legal training has given me a thorough understanding of the laws, processes, and structures that shape decisions at the local and state level. I know how to dig into the details, understand where authority lies, and push for answers when something doesn’t add up. I’ve already put those skills to work in our community by showing up to local government meetings, asking questions, and pushing for greater transparency around issues that affect our schools and our town. I’ll bring that same persistence to the School Board by taking action where we can, and advocating for our kids at the state level when we can’t.
I’ll put our kids first. Always.
My promise to the community is that I won’t lose sight of who I’m there to serve. I’ll listen, I’ll ask the tough questions, and I’ll fight to make sure our kids have the schools, opportunities, and future they deserve. My kids are a big part of why I’m running and yours are, too. Every decision I make will start with one simple question: How will this affect our kids?
