Who I Am

Hi! I’m Camillia Spadaccini - but everyone calls me Cam. It’s nice to meet you.

When I was a kid growing up in Brooklyn, I used to daydream about living in a place like Washington Township. When my husband and I moved here with our two kids four years ago, it really did feel like a dream come true. (It still does.)

Like many parents, I started getting involved in our community as my kids started school. When my son started kindergarten, I joined our school’s PTA, where I’ve had the privilege of serving as President for the past two years.

During that time, I’ve worked closely with families, teachers, staff, and administration to make sure our PTA remains focused on what our students and teachers actually need. I’ve supported collaboration across our elementary school PTAs and PTOs to help ensure our schools have access to similar resources, attended Board of Education meetings, and helped maintain a balanced budget that allowed us to provide $19,000 in teacher grants at Flocktown-Kossmann.

Professionally, I began my career as a federal criminal defense attorney before transitioning into corporate media strategy. Today, I manage multimillion-dollar budgets and negotiate large scale commercial contracts for a living. Every day, I’m challenged to solve complex problems, make hard decisions, and work with people I don’t always see eye to eye with. I use those same skills at home, where I regularly find myself in tough negotiations with my 8- and 6-year-olds over bedtime and dessert.

Above all else, though, I’m a mom. My two kids are the center of my universe, and they are at the heart of every decision I make. I see my kids in every kid in this town, and the opportunity to serve them - and the rest of our community - on the Washington Township Board of Education would be an incredible honor.

Thanks for being here. I’d be honored to earn your vote on November 3, 2026!
